I remember watching my daughters twirl when they were little. Finding joy and excitement in a moment. As an adult I hear myself say "I feel like a whirling dervish," and I hear this from my clients, too.
"Stop acting so small - for you are the universe in ecstatic motion" -Rumi
The actual dervishes are the embodiment of the ecstatic-unifying spirituality, the mind, the body-and a totality of eternity and the now.
Working, making dinner, and the mundane can feel far from twirling. Watching the dervishes is dizzying, and yet I can't take my eyes off of them.
