whirling and twirling

I remember watching my daughters twirl when they were little. Finding joy and excitement in a moment.
As an adult I hear myself say "I feel like a whirling dervish," and I hear this from my clients, too.

"Stop acting so small - for you are the
universe in ecstatic motion" -Rumi

The actual dervishes are the embodiment of the ecstatic-unifying
spirituality, the mind, the body-and a totality of eternity and the now.

Working, making dinner, and the mundane can feel far from twirling. Watching the dervishes is dizzying, and yet I can't take my eyes off of them.

The paradox is living fully in the whirl.

Silence feeds my soul. With chaos and negativity in this world, I cherish the time I have to myself, to ground my thoughts, become more positive, and simply "be". I find the alone time that I have in silence makes me stronger; a better person. My actions and words become kinder and more calculated verses reactionary and negatively charged. Moments of daily silence gives me the strength and wisdom to be "me" and not the influences and words of others.
