"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" -Mary Oliver
Through conversation, art making, dreamwork, and writing, I orient from a relational approach with my clients. These kinds of creative processes support flow and the ability to have a greater awareness of oneself.
I orient my work with children from a creative-play therapy approach. I connect with them in their world, and together your child and I will explore and make sense of what is happening in the here and now in therapy.
It is through these therapeutic experiences that children have an opportunity to learn and grow.
Parents, caregivers, and families are an integral part of this process. Together we will work as a team to assess what is necessary to support your child and family's needs for healing and growth.
These years can be rough, for so many different reasons. Teens
rarely want to come to therapy, so I have found that if I am honest about that with them, it can be an ice breaker.
I will support and work with your teen to sort, think, and feel about what is going on in his or her life, and together we will make sense of it, so that he or she can move on with a fuller capacity to take on the tasks of adolescence that lie ahead.
